ZJ Boarding House brings back the Night Sesh outdoor surf movie nights (across the street) on the lawn of the California Heritage Museum.

The 2014 season kicks off with some amazing shorts by one of the best up and coming surfers around, Mr. John John Florence, who grew up at Pipe. John John Florence is possibly the best all around surfer in the world right now.

‘Done’ is a film by Blake Vincent Kueny and John John Florence shot on Location in Hawaii, Tahiti, Africa, and Australia and starring John John Florence, Nathan Florence, Ivan Florence, Albee Layer, Kiron Jabour, and Matt Meola.

Bring a blanket or a lawn chair and get comfy for this once a month event. FREE popcorn & Vitacoco, of course! There will be an intermission to raffle off some prizes in support of Boarding for Breast Cancer.

Celebrate the release of Bernie Pearl’s new CD, “Take Your Time” with a concert at San Pedro’s Alva’s Music. With acoustic country blues, blues classics, lap steel, delta slide, gospel, and some electric blues, Mike, Al, saxophonist Bobby Spencer, and Bernie Pearl

As a bonus, each patron will be offered an EK Waller art poster on the house. In Alva’s beautiful small amphitheater, the band performs on a polished dance floor, with great sound and lightning. You are invited to bring in your own picnic and beverages of choice.
