In Hollywood…

Fri-June24-2016-WeChoose-Art copy copyWe Choose Art, The Montálban, and Tigrefino Projects are pleased to announce “RAINBOW SHIFT 2.0” curated by Baha H. Danesh and Tiger Munson, opening Friday,  June 24th, from 7 PM – 12 AM at The Montalban in Hollywood, California.

Following We Choose Art’s philosophy of creating a collaborative community of artistic expression, and in celebration of LGTBQ Pride month in Los Angeles, this unique exhibition presents each artist’s individual visionary constructions in the context of the changing social and legal landscape, and is a select opportunity for queer visual, performing, and literary artists, and organizations to meet each other, plug their projects, and collaborate.

”RAINBOW SHIFT” was created to fuse art with social justice and explore notions of aspiration, socialization, and representation within the LGBTQ community through artists employing thread-based craft materials, visual illustrations, paintings, sculptures, and photography techniques.

In collaboration with PLANET QUEER the opening night will include LIVE performances by Corey Saucier, Bitsy la Bourbon, Heather Damage, Empress, Travis Wood and a special tribute to the victims of the Orlando shooting performed by Mirabelle Jones.
