JAUS presents “New Painting from Finland and Sweden,” a group exhibition curated by Stephen Parise.

The idea behind the exhibition is not based on some old fashioned need to distinguish current trends in painting according to one criteria. Rather, the intention has been to steal a chance to concentrate and to give these paintings enough room, enough space to exist and to happen.

Artists include: Sini Anttila-Rodriguez, Emanuel Bernstone, Eeva-Riitta Eerola, Ville Laaksonen, Marjolaine Lombard, Ivar Lövheim, Stephen Parise, Mia Saharla, Petra Tiisala, and Jouni Ton.

In Santa Monica….My blues band….Kat & the Blues Hounds is back at Sonny McLean’s for our monthly gig. We missed last month…, I was busy with one of my other bands headlining a festival in Sun Valley that evening. Looking forward to this gig…Happy to be BACK!!! 

WeKatandtheBluesHounds cropped trumpet‘ve got lots of special guest musicians sitting in, such as a guitarist, our trumpet player is back and a couple of harp players. Of course we will have our usual band, keys, sax, bass and drums…so it should be a fantastic show.
