Tonight HFP LIVE presents the world premiere of pianist/actor/playwright/producer Hershey Felder and Jonathan Silvestri in Rachmaninoff And The Tsar at The Eli and Edythe Broad Stage in Santa Monica. Moreover, this is the first time another actor will join Felder on stage in one of  his productions.

In the South BayTorrance Art Museum (TAM) presents the second installment of TRYST, as well as the third edition of an annual pop-up exhibition titled NOMAD. Furthermore, TRYST is an alternative art fair is produced by TAM, and is supported by the City of Torrance. The event will include all works such as painting, sculpture, photography, video art, and also installation.

Zoo Friday Nights takes place at the L.A. Zoo. The summer series of weekly after-hours events music events has been a big success. Tonight’s event features the cover band Upstream. The Hollywood Bowl presents Pink Martini Featuring China Forbes aka the “little orchestra” for two nights. Helmed by pianist Thomas Lauderdale, this is the band’s 30th anniversary year. The Andrew Bird Trio will kick off the show. In addition to Bird, the band includes Alan Hampton and Ted Poor. Special guests include: Storm Large, Ari Shapiro (of NPR), Edna Vazquez, and Jimmie Herrod.
