Then in Beverly HillsM+B throws an opening art party to celebrate the photography of LeRoy Grannis. The gallery has exhibited this iconic photographer for twenty years. He is one of the top surf photographers in this history of the sport.

M+B, in conjunction with the Grannis estate, has released Platinum estate prints of Grannis’ color photographs in monumental scale. Grannis’ photographic journey through the 1960s and 1970s captured the essence of a transformative era in surfing, a time when the sport was evolving from a niche pastime into a global cultural phenomenon. Venice

Venice Arts Gallery throws an opening art party for DOGTOWN: The Pups of Venice Beach and Their Humans by Dotan Saguy. The solo photography exhibition spotlights skaters, surfers, dogs, their owners, as well as the spirit of Venice Beach. Published by Kehrer Verlag, DOGTOWN is Saguy’s third monograph.

The artist is known for documenting the culture of Venice, and its street life. The monograph and select prints will be available for sale during the opening of Venice Arts’ Gallery exhibition. Also n Venice…Duncan Miller Gallery presents the first U.S. exhibition of the works of Parisian photographer F.C. Leroux.

The gallery recently acquired a remarkable archive of photographs this prolific photographer from the 1940s and 1950s in Paris. Moreover, he photographed for his own interests and is entirely unknown. When he died in the 1980s, he left his archive of some 700 prints to an aging friend, hence the gallery happened to discover the work.
