Saturday, August 10, 2024 hosts a good amount of art parties and events for a summer evening. We have workshops, art openings, live music, as well as a festival. As usual the summer months do not feature a huge amount of art openings. Wait till the first week of September (and the 2nd week)…there is no way you will be able to get to all of the art parties. In the Beverly Fairfax area….Craft in America holds an art workshop led by Brittany Kiertzner.
She will teach attendees how to create their own mixed media artwork utilizing traditional Iroquois beadwork techniques. In addition, Kiertzner will talk about the cultural roots of the craft. Atwater Village
The Pit Los Angeles will celebrate the tenth anniversary since its foundation of the gallery in 2014. In addition to its anniversary, it will also host an opening art party for two exhibitions. A summer group show titled Wild Range opens in galleries 1 and 2. Artists include: Shara Mays, Anders Scrmn Meisner, James Goss, Hopie Hill, Tracy Thomason, Howard Fonda, Jennifer King, Camila Varon Jaramillo, and Yirui Jia.

Tonight HFP LIVE presents the world premiere of pianist/actor/playwright/producer Hershey Felder and Jonathan Silvestri in Rachmaninoff And The Tsar at The Eli and Edythe Broad Stage in Santa Monica. This is the first time another actor will join Felder on stage in one of his productions. The new musical play has a limited run from August 7-25, 2024.
