August 1-2 2024 Art

This collection of work is inspired by the mind altering heat of midsummer and the necessary, often scary process of losing yourself in order to transform – a process of unbecoming in order to achieve our truest state. Thus, we all evolve very much like the butterfly who transforms from a caterpillar. Art Party: 6-9pm;  Studio DDLA, 944 Chung King Rd, Los Angeles CA 90039; https://deathdoulala.com

Hollywood

Head to a Hollywood Bowl summer tradition – Tchaikovsky Spectacular with Fireworks. It is the first show of a two-day run. I love this annual event. The music is fantastic plus the fireworks are out of this world. Read my review of the Thaikovsky Spectacular at the Bowl on our sister site EatTravelGo.com (an art inspired travel site).

Conductor Otto Tausk opens the show with  the regal Polonaise from Euguene Onegin. The Sleeping Beauty Suite and other masterpieces will also be performed.
