Living in LA, offers a variety of fabulous weekend getaways. I recently enjoyed a two-day trip up the coast for a weekend in Solvang. It is a charming “Christmas town” all year round.

Weekend in Solvang – the Restaurants

My husband Rich and I enjoyed some delectable meals, and also stayed in a sweet hotel –The Mirabelle Inn.  On the ground floor, a Michelin Plate awarded restaurant named First & Oak wowed our taste buds. This intimate restaurant offered semi-private dining experience and the cuisine was exquisite – CLICK HERE to read my review on our sister site EatTravelGo.com.

Lodging

The Mirabelle Inn, a European-style boutique hotel was my home away from home for two nights, when I visited the quaint town of Solvang. CLICK HERE to read my article – “Christmas Starts Early in Solvang.” Located at the foot of the Santa Ynez Mountains, just 2-3 blocks from the heart of town, the Mirabelle Inn offers an upscale, yet comfortable elegance. During our visit, the staff was extremely friendly, helpful and quite knowledgeable. I had a lot of questions about the area, and they seemed to have all the answers.
