Santa Monica Museum of Art presents three new exhibitons…
Joyce Pensato: I KILLED KENNY, the artist’s first museum survey and her first exhibition in Los Angeles. The exhibition will be held in the museum’s main gallery and will feature monumental enamel paintings and large-scale charcoal drawings rendered directly onto SMMoA’s gallery walls.

Also on view is “Park Studio: Skaters and Makers,” organized by Asuka Hisa, SMMoA Director of Education and Public Programs. French architect Francois Perrin, trend-setting designer Gil Le Bon Delapointe, and superior craftsman Dante Cacace worked with local high school students to explore local and international skateboarding culture for the exhibit.
In the project room pop in to see “Marco Rios: Anatomy of an Absent Artist.”

BG Gallery holds a closing reception for “Circle Logic.” For this exhibition, artists are invited to interpret the dimensions of a circle and how they convey the interconnections within our lives and environments.
Circles conjure up many ideas including events “coming full circle,” or “The Circle of Life.”
Artists include: Airom, Ann McCoy, Charity Burnett, Lavialle Campbell, Fausto Fernandez, Alison Foshee (see image), Gina Stepaniuk, Jim Holyoak, Simone Gad, Susan Joseph, Kimberly Zsebe, Mery Lynn McCorkle, Melissa Meier, Linda Parnell, Anita Ray, Nick Veasey, and Sharon Weiner.
