There are only two more shows to catchJaja’s African Hair Braiding as it closes out its run at the Mark Taper Forum. Written by Tony-nominated playwright Jocelyn Bioh and directed by Whitney White, the Tony-nominated and Obie-winning director, the show is set in a bustling Harlem salon, thus it incluldes that New York attitude.

This is the final performance of Emmy Award winner Elliot Shoenman’s play – Paper Walls at the Inkwell Theater at Broadwater Main Stage. The play portrays a poignant story very similar to what is happening today. A family is profoundly affected by Hitler’s rise to power. They find themselves desperately fleeing persecution while awaiting entry into the United States. Restrictive U.S. immigration policies as well as antisemitism intensified their struggle.
