Jaja’s African Hair Braiding continues its run at the Mark Taper Forum. Written by Tony-nominated playwright Jocelyn Bioh and directed by Whitney White, the Tony-nominated and Obie-winning director, the show is set in a bustling Harlem salon, thus it incluldes that New York attitude.

The Inkwell Theater at Broadwater Main Stage presents Emmy Award winner Elliot Shoenman’s WORLD PREMIERE play – Paper Walls. It just opened yesterday, and will run through November 9, 2025. The play portrays a poignant story very similar to what is happening today. A family is profoundly affected by Hitler’s rise to power. They find themselves desperately fleeing persecution while awaiting entry into the United States. Restrictive U.S. immigration policies as well as antisemitism intensified their struggle.
