The Metro presents CicLAvia’s popular signature route – ‘Heart of LA.’ People of all ages and abilities are invited to the 56th car-free event. As always walk, bike, rollerblade or skateboard free of traffic, and meet up with friends.

Today’s Smorgasburg Los Angeles features ice cream pop-ups and also smorg resident cool treat vendors. It is a popular weekly culinary adventure at Row DTLA every Sunday. Palos Verdes

It’s the last day of the weekend, so drive up the coast to Palos Verdes Art Center Artists (PVACA) for the Malaga Cove Art on the Lawn Show. All mediums will be featured at the event. Artists from seven art groups affiliated with Palos Verdes Art Center will participate: Artists Open Group (AOG), Pacific Arts Group, Paletteers, Peninsula Artists, Photographic and Digital Artists (PADA), Third Dimension, and The Artists’ Studio (TAS). The LA Opera presents matinee performance of Madame Butterfly by Giacomo Puccini for a select number of performances at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion Music Center.

Spanish-Uruguayn director Mario Gas originally staged the new production for the Teatro Real in Madrid. Moreover, the reimagined plot takes place at a 1930s film studio, with the opera performance captured by onstage camera operators and projected onto screens hanging above the stage.

Mount Wilson Observatory’s Arts @ the Observatory debuts Cosmic Art Night. The science/art exhibition was created by artists Rebeca Méndez and Stephen Nowlin.

Next, an observation of the night sky will take place with MWO’s historic 100-inch telescope to experience the art the cosmos creates. Then a discussion about the exhibition will take place with the artists.
