It’s the final day of a weekend run Plenty of Heart. Plenty of Hope, The Making of Oklahoma! and the Broadway Musical at the Wallis. Presented by MUSE/IQUE, there are two shows taking place – a matinee as well as an evening performance. The concerts feature how Rodgers & Hammerstein created a new form of musical. In the 1940s it combined the art of storytelling used in play form with the music and movement of traditional musicals.
Furthermore MUSE/IQUE artistic & Music Director Rachael Worby leads audiences through Broadway’s most momentous numbers, from the groundbreaking Hamilton to the vibrant Hairspray, and inventive re-imaginations of classic stories in The Wiz and West Side Story. Performances: 2:30pm and 7:30pm; The Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts, Bram Goldsmith Theater, 9390 N.
