An eight-day celebration, the Jewish Festival of Lights, also known as Hanukkah started December 16th (at Sundown) and commemorates the rededication of the Second Temple in Jerusalem in the second century B.C.E. during the Maccabean revolt against oppressive Greek rulers.

Head to Third Street Promenade…Each Day for Hanukkah, participate in the Menorah Lighting. At sundown a local synagogue will host a menorah lighting every night from 16–23 at sundown.The band Klezmer Juice will be performing on Dec. 18. Dec.
