An exhibition by UCLA Art Master of Fine Arts (MFA) students graduating at the end of the academic year.
The exhibit features artwork in all areas including Ceramics, Interdisciplinary Studio, New Genres, Painting/Drawing, Photography, and Sculpture.
Artists include: Lilly Aldriedge, Theodora Allen, Bridget Beck, Sophie Tianxin Chen, Heather Cleary, Jane Hugentober, Amanda Joy, Shoshi Kanokohata, Mindy Lu, Sarah McMenimen, Anthony Miserendino, Erin Morrison, Sean Raspet, Kathleen Ryan, Jeff St. Andrews, and Emily Sudd.

In conjunction with its new exhibition, “Contemporary Modernists,” Tobey C. Moss offers an art talk and walk-thru with art writer and critic Peter Frank.

The wide diversity of ideas and techniques of the 1930s and 1990s are displayed in “Contemporary Modernists,” confirming that ‘California’ was wide open for new concepts and directions. Artists felt a freedom to burst through boundaries and pave new paths…from John Altoon and Peter Krasnow to Oskar Fischinger and Lorser Feitelson.
