VAC-550sizedlogoSince 2010, The VAC has become one of the favorite hot spots of the Westside of Los Angeles and is a winner of the Argonaut Newspaper’s Best Nonprofit Event 2015.  Some of the participating venues: Ecole Claire Fontaine Preschool and Bilingual Education Center, 1052 Abbot Kinney will feature a kid’s foot painting event with music and live art; Robert Graham, 1326 Abbot Kinney Blvd; Salt & Straw 1357 Abbot Kinney Blvd; Cave Gallery 1108 Abbot Kinney Blvd; Wylie Wilson 1301 Abbot Kinney Blvd; In Heroes We Trust, 300 Westminster Ave–to name a few. Take a five minute walk west of Abbot Kinney, heading to Park Row to encounter ten residential homes each featuring a one of a kind pop-up gallery.

James Berkowitz will bare his poetic heart and soul reading/ performing live on the boulevard that inspired “Reaching for the Light of Day” and other works during his frequent night walks around Venice. His poem “The Inner Sun” published in the literary arts journal San Francisco Peace and Hope in 2015 was recently accepted into the San Francisco Public Library and The Special Collections of the Calfornia State Library.
