Happy Winter Solstice….which starts today, by the way.

Though, Hanukkah, started on the 20th, the celebration conitnues (whichever way you want to spell it.) with a FREE Chanukah festival which happens at Westfield Century City Mall.

WestfieldHanukkahThis event offers live ice menorah carving, face painting, kosher treats and festive music. Organized by Chabad of Century City, this FREE event runs from 5:00 pm -7:30 pm.

Tonight, Sing! Sing! Sichristmascarolsng! presents traditional “Candlelight Carols” at the Victorian Mansion on Main Street in Santa Monica.

Embrace the sound of the season at this beautiful Victorian setting for  Popular and traditional carols for the whole family. Discover the stories behind the songs. Souvenir song sheets provided and light refreshments included.

The program starts at 7:30 pm with entertaining, informative introductions by Howard Lewis. Musicians include, Judy Wolman, Piano Chris Conner, Bass, Dick Weller, Drums, Ron Kalina, Harmonica soloist and the talented singers of Sing! Sing! Sing!

hanukkahAnother Hanukkah celebration will help a great cause with the event entitled “Light Up Hanukkah.” This party benefits Jewish Heart for Africa – who use sustainable Israeli solar technology to light up African schools, clinics, and villages- and local food bank, Tomchei Shabbos.

Featuring live music by world music legends Naked Rhythm. Delicious Hanukkah dishes for those who arrive early!  All profits go to charity.
