The story of WICKED is a prelude to what we know as the tale of the Wizard of Oz. The latest story focuses the Land of Oz from a completely different angle. Long before Dorothy arrives, there is another girl, born with emerald-green skin—smart, fiery, misunderstood, and possessing an extraordinary talent. When she meets a bubbly blonde who is exceptionally popular, their initial rivalry turns into the unlikeliest of friendships…until the world decides to call one “good,” and the other one “wicked.”

The musical score includes well known hits “Defying Gravity,” “Popular” and “For Good.”  From the first electrifying note to the final breathtaking moment, WICKED—the untold true story of the Witches of Oz—transfixes audiences with its wildly inventive story. It will send your spirits soaring to heights you’ll never forget.

WICKED has been hailed by The New York Times as “the defining musical of the decade.” Time Magazine cheers, “if every musical had the brain, the heart, and the courage of WICKED, Broadway really would be a magical place.”

Hollywood Pantages Theatre

The landmark Hollywood attraction opened in 1930 featuring a glorious past and has hosted movies premieres. Then the theatre was renovated to accommodate live stage productions. These days it continues to  be one of Los Angeles’ leading homes of legitimate theatre (the five highest-grossing weeks in L.A.’s theatrical history were all shows at the Pantages) and a favorite “location” for tv shows, movies and music videos. In the past, it has been a movie house, with live vaudeville acts between features as well as the site of many gala premieres and “spectaculars.” For ten years the Hollywood Pantages Theatre was the home of the glittering Academy Award presentations.

The Pantages has hosted many notable productions, including Wicked, Hamilton, The Book of Mormon, and Disney’s The Lion King. It’s also a popular venue for concerts, movies, TV shows, and music videos. The Pantages has been a part of Los Angeles’ theatrical history for over 80 years.
