Louisville-born pop artist Terra Renae joined Grammy-winning soul singer Macy Gray for a live performance at The Palace Theatre in Los Angeles in August 2025. The performance was part of Macy’s 25th Anniversary tour.
Terra Renae and Macy Gray
Working with Macy marks a powerful full-circle moment for Terra. She first met the singers during a brief 2022 trip to LA—a chance meeting that sparked a close mentorship. Since then, Macy has executive produced her debut album and toured the globe alongside her. Her latest single and video, Best Revenge, capture her inspiring journey. The track delivers an empowering message: true revenge is living well, finding joy, and achieving success after hardship.

Louisville Roots and Resilient Beginnings
Raised in Louisville by her Filipino mother after her father’s death at age seven, Terra grew up surrounded by encouragement to pursue music. She sang in choirs, performed in school plays, and auditioned for opportunities across the country. A vocal injury during a key LA audition temporarily derailed her path. Instead, she focused on academics and modeling, eventually earning a doctoral degree—strengthening the determination that fuels her music today.
A Chance Encounter that Changed Everything
When Terra met Macy Gray in 2022, her voice and authenticity left an immediate impression. Macy offered to mentor her and later executive produced All I Have, her debut album. The record has earned more than 300,000 streams and landed Terra on Live Nation’s Ones to Watch and Music Connection’s Hot 100 Unsigned Artists lists. Since then, Terra has toured Europe with Macy and released empowering singles including Manifest It and Ignite Me. She is currently working on her sophomore album with acclaimed collaborators Epic Mazur, Lauren Christy, and Sam Short.
