And all weekend Food happening takes place in LA ..

It’s the second day of THE TASTE 2012, an annual three-day food festival that takes place over Labor Day weekend at Paramount Studios.

The five events highlight Southern California’s culinary scene, each featuring unlimited food and drink tastings from standout local restaurants and chefs, along with cooking and mixology demonstrations, wine seminars and panel discussions.

A portion of the ticket sales will benefit Collins College of Hospitality Management at Cal Poly Pomonand the Los Angeles Times Family Fund’s Summer Camp Campaign.

Todays events are: FLAVORS OF L.A. which runs from 11:00am – 3:00pm

Cooking demos, and panels & seminars too.

DINNER & DRINKS which runs from 8:00pm – 11:00pm
Hosts: Times Deputy Food Editor Betty Hallock & “The Beer Chicks,” Christina Perozzi and Hallie Beaune. Enjoy cocktail demos.

LACE, Los Angeles Contemporary Exhibits offer a family oriented workshop, free and open to the public. ASAP’s 2012 Re-Visions of LA drawing workshops will build conversations around how our urban environments are constructed and what that means to our every day lives.

After two successful years of inviting families to engage with our Hollywood surroundings via drop-in art classes with local artists, ReVISIONS of LA is coming to a close at LACE. This will be the final workshop. Today’s artists include: Jonas Becker, Samuel Partal, Robert Seitz

The workshop is free, and all materials will be supplied.

Bleicher Gallery presents Bird Lovers Potluck feauturing Susie Loucks. Coastal birds are Loucks’ subject matter.
