Zebi is a Brazilian artist, once a year she has an open studio party where she shows her functional ceramic art (handmade and painted) and her mixed media and acrylic paintings, her art style is contemporary, minimalist, colorful and happy.

llspace hosts an art talk in conjunction with the solo exhibition “Not Where They’re Supposed To Be,” a new series of caricaturesque story-scapes by artist Zeal Harris.
This new series of paintings illustrates contemporary narratives about characters in unexpected or “out of place” environments.
Harris breaks from her racy repertoire of faux-naïve story and joke telling on what she calls “domestic-urban-academic-folk” topics and moves into large scale works inspired by dialogues between funny women-of-color who have unique views on critical contemporary international issues.

BTW…Next week, LA Art Party’s weekly post will go up early (probably Wed night), since we will be off this Thursday (Thanksgiving).
