Sun-MAR-22 LAArtcore LY LOCKYER LEELA Artcore presents Black and White, a curated exhibit primarily composed of drawings by three local artists. Each artist takes drawing in unique directions, ranging from abstraction to drawing representation directly from the natural world.

Hyung Mo Lee was born in Seoul, Korea, and keeps his studio in the Long Beach area. His drawings rise off the paper plane through the cutting and assemblage of his own work, to create sculptural composites.

Nguyen Ly was born in Saigon, Vietnam, an educator who specializes in imaginative, highly personal representations of the human figure, he has exhibited extensively in the Los Angeles area.

Jason Lockyear begins with familiar creatures of the natural world – bugs, birds, and animals – and applies to them both speed and character, anthropomorphized impressions of captured moments.
