The Word is ART Gallery offers a workshop called Cultivating You: A Journal Process with instructor Kelly Kilmer.
Kelly Kilmer explains, “Get ready to dive into this class by creating a truly unique book form using a variety of handmade and decorative papers selected by you (and provided by me.)
A variety of new techniques will be demonstrated, discussed and built upon during the workshop. Walk out with several pages started and full of new ideas that will keep you working on this journal days later!”

It’s the final day of photo l.a. Head downtown to the LA Mart. This is the largest exposition floor to date.
photo l.a. 2014 hosts 90+ national and international exhibitors, from January 16-19, including special installations “A Life in Pictures,” by Douglas Kirkland, “Deviled Eggs,” by Jeff McLane, a short film by Allan Sekula, “Vanishing Siren,” a study via film and polaroid by John Knuth, live tintypes by Will Wilson, Classic photo l.a., and more.
