For a Sunday afternoon of art, poetry and song celebrating Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday, head over to Culver City‘s 7th annual gathering. The event starts at 11 a.m. and continues till 7.

Highlights include at 4:30pm, A staged reading of the award-winning play “The Dreamers,” written and directed by Christina Harley.

At 6pm, The West Los Angeles College Jazz Ensemble will perform big band arrangements of Duke Elington, Marvin Gaye and Earth, Wind and Fire songs, sung by brilliant student vocalists and acompanyed by a full big band.
