Sun 4.21 CiclaviaCicLAvia celebrates it’s 6th year today and will run from Downtown to Venice Beach by way of Venice Boulevard. This is the second time that it has made it’s way all the way to Venice.

This means NO CARS kids….as most people who know me know, I was raised in NYC and am NOT a car person….I like to put on my rollerlades and go….Grab your bikes and get out there.

As in previous years, shop owners and food trucks will be open and there will be all kinds of vendors along the route…so take some time to walk or bike, rollerblade or skip down Venice Boulevard…bring the kids the dogs and enjoy!…be sure to stop off at the Coffee Connection to an art exhibition of Nepal Art Dogs (see below for info)

CicLAvia started in Bogotá, Colombia, over thirty years ago as a response to the congestion and pollution of city streets. Now they happen throughout Latin America and the United States.CicLAvia is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting public health, active green transportation, public space, economic development, and community building through car-free public events.
