At a tiny gallery called Actual Size…there’s a closing event for Waxing the Bud, enjoy an assortment of nosegays for a humble incantation of poetry on blossoms, both bodily and floral.
The computerized reading will include poems by Olga Broumas, Mark Doty, Patricia Hampl, Marsden Hartley, Gerard Manley Hopkins, Brigit Pegeen Kelly, César Moro, Chase Twichell, May Swenson, James L. White, Dean Young, and others.
Waxing the Bud is an exhibition organized by Erich Bollmann that features work by Deanna Erdmann, Esmeralda Montes, Orlando Tirado, and Paul Waddell.

Don’t forget about this fun exhibit with the artist….offering art classes…..The Santa Monica Museum of Art’s gift store, GRACIE, presents Kim McCarty Paints, a unique installation and pop-up shop featuring new work by this internationally acclaimed artist.

Venice MoZaic puts on their monthly Art Opening and Music Jam Session, which we call the “Sunday Sol Salon”, at The Talking Stick.
From 5pm to 7pm, Audrey McNamara-Garcia’s Art Reception takes place.
The musical show starts at 7pm sharp with 20 performers such as Lauri Reimer, Alibe, Carol McArthur, Dr. Snake Pit, Mark Nathanson, Mike Coulter, Roger Houston, Eric Charles, Felis Des Vernay just to name a few.

Ok, one more fun music event and benefit that you gotta check out. It features Mike Temple aka Mike Tempo from the Bonedaddys….Yes…the incredible artist Michael Temple is also the creator and percussionist of the well known world beat band “The Bonedaddys.”
Stop by Fais Do do for a Blues benefit performance for musician John “Juke” Logan. Admission is just $10.00 and will feature incredible musicians such as Dave Alvin, Rick Holmstron Band, The Delgado Brothers, King Cotton, The Bonedaddys, The Mike Eldrid Trio and lots more.
The $10.00 door admission goes directly to Cancer research.
