Please join Venice Arts in celebrating its student’s thought-provoking work from “First Vote,” a series of youth-produced short films, still images and comics using the vehicle of storytelling to explore issues of importance to young people as they ready themselves to cast their first ballot in 2020.

The event will include an exhibition of student photographs and comics, a screening of their films, and a facilitated panel discussion with our young filmmakers.

In addition, watch a teaser for Brave New Films’ new documentary, Suppressed: The Fight to Vote, which exposes rampant voter suppression that affected the outcome of the 2018 midterm election in Georgia. Voter registration forms will be available for audience members not yet registered and interested in voting. There will be a sample voting booth where children and adults can practice voting, and a gif photo booth to capture the fun!
