The Culver City Arts District (CCAD), a unique collection of art galleries, creative businesses, specialty retail and restaurants, will present Culver City Art Walk 2016.

The Art Walk event will be centered on Washington Boulevard between Helms and Fairfax Avenues and will celebrate the beginning of the fall art season with a free self-guided tour of art galleries exhibiting new and distinguished artists, musical and dance performances throughout the day at various venues, interactive experiences and special offerings at several area restaurants. There will be activities for all ages to explore, experience and enjoy the Culver City Arts District. Throughout the day, music and dance performances will be at Art Walk venues. Performers include AVA Dance, HOLA’s Rock Band, Par Avion, Super Ultra Megatones, The Sposato Brothers Band and Victoria Van Winkle.

The Arts District is conveniently located just one block east of the Culver City Expo stop. Parking in the area is limited and guests are encouraged to carpool, bike or use public transportation to the event. Guests are encouraged to park in the Ince parking structure located on the corner of Ince and Washington Blvd. Guests are advised to refrain from parking in the residential area surrounding the Culver City Art District.

Guests can take advantage of unlimited bus rides for $1 courtesy of Culver CityBus along the Art Walk route. Culver CityBus will provide service for ART WALKers along Washington and Culver Boulevards between Downtown Culver City and Fairfax Avenue for only $1 (One Dollar). ART WALKers may board any Culver CityBus at participating Culver CityBus Stops and purchase an ART WALK bus pass from the driver on the day of the event. The ART WALK bus pass is valid for unlimited rides along Line 1 and Line 4 between noon and 8 p.m.

Be sure to check the website for additional info on the event. More gallery events takes place at: Sixty29 Contemporary at 6029 Washington will have a musical performance by Victoria Van Winkle at 4pm. LAUNCH! Gallery AT 6039 Washington will have a KJLH Radio DJ spinning from 2-6pm.

Stop by FP Contemporary to see Christina Craemer’s solo exhibition, “Infinite Lines.” FP Contemporary consistently exhibits the work of talented artists. This is a stunning exhibition featuring the waterfalls of the world. The exhibition will view through November 5, 2016.

FP Contemporary features Otis College of Art and Design illustration students who will demonstrate drawing techniques from 2-6pm. In the courtyard kids can enjoy face painting from 2:30 – 4:30pm.

The Sposato Brothers will perform from 4-6pm in front of the gallery and finally in the parking lot, the Global Trunk will offer handcrafted goods for sale.
