“Action at a Distance” refers to the phenomenon described in physics wherein objects separated by space nevertheless interact without any apparent mediating physical or mechanical agent. In Venice…
Stop by the Cadillac Hotel, for Thomas Faustin Huisking’s closing reception for his solo exhibition and film.
His paintings and film was inspired by “I’ll Never Tell,” a multi-lingual homage to 80’s action movies.
These paintings, based on storyboards from my script, “I’ll Never Tell,” explains the artist. “Primarily acrylic on canvas, I wanted to convey love, emotional conflict, and violence as concisely as possible. The hard-edged, graphic style that developed as a result of these aims has become a very focused study of line, contrast, and movement in narrative images.”
