Skidmore Contemporary Art has a new exhibition on view entitled Summertime.

If you have not yet seen it, be sure to pop in. This gallery features top-notch artists, and the work is consistently strong.

“Summertime” celebrates the season with works by gallery artists Kelly Reemtsen, Robert Townsend, Dave Lefner, Jennifer Bain, Eric Nash as well as a few summer guests.

Z2 is the second collaborative installation of painting and mixed media works by JPW3 and Sayre Gomez, and continues where their first, ZZYZX, left off.

Sat 7.20 WalterMacielWalter Maciel Gallery presents “RE: play” featuring an exhibition of new rubber works by New York artist Jil Weinstock.  This show marks her second solo exhibition with the gallery.
 
Weinstock’s new body of work continues her use of rubber to beguile the viewer with questions about identity, preservation, childhood and memory.  The rubber itself represents an uncanny approximation to flesh as well as its factory aesthetic and art historical precedents.

Kopeikin Gallery celebrates the opening of two exhibitions…”Ten Years of Falling” featuring artist Karry Skarbakka (see image) and a group show entitled “Desaturated Rainbow.”

“Desaturated Rainbow” is a group exhibition of New York and Los Angeles artists that centers on the context, stereotypes and originality of how artists use color from coast to coast. This exhibition is curated by Amir H. Fallah and Colette Robbins. L A based artists included in the show are Alison Blickle, Wendell Galdstone, Sherin Guirguis, Amir H. Fallah, Dani Tull and Feodor Voronov. New York based artists are Justin Amrhein, Micah Ganske, Norm Paris, Colette Robbins, Michael Schall, and Heeseop Yoon.

With a celebrity commentator/judge panel, a house band, and a heckler, TopTune is a musical circus and variety show.
