The LODGE is pleased to announce dual solo exhibitions with Los Angeles based artists David McKay and Matthew Rosenquist. Both artists are recent inhabitants of Los angeles, respond to their new environments, presenting two bodies of work that develop the glamour of strangeness.
Matthew Rosenquist was born in Baltimore, Maryland. He acquired his MFA in painting from Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) in 1998. He works and lives in Los Angeles. David McKay was born in Sydney, Australia. As an award winning production designer, he has exhibited internationally in New York, London, Tokyo, and Sydney.

oin Giant Robot for the appearance of famed manga artist Katsuya Terada as he duels his pen, ink, and history for an exhibition that melds his worlds of art and manga. This won’t be typical of his recent exhibitions, this will examine the world of sequential comics in an artistic way.
Giant Robot will also announce live drawing session(s) that you can attend. He’s drawing long form, meaning super detailed, so he’ll be doing many days, the first is scheduled for Sun Dec 18th, 12-6pm and further sessions later in the week.

haphazard is pleased to present the release of BAD IDEA, a new zine by artist Carrie Schreck in conjuction with the closing reception of her solo show RAD/RAD/RAD.
RAD/RAD/RAD is a body of vernacular photography which focuses the self-named Moped Army, a loose group of moped enthusiasts with international spread. It is an invented subculture which co-opts the rebellious spirit of the early Hell’s Angels, but embraces the absurdity of riding broken down machines which are not built for speed
BAD IDEA documents the experiences and stories of these intrepid gangs of moped fanatics. Copies will be available for $12.00.
