Ok so let’s start this year up right….we’ve got a great Pick of the Week. Skidmore Contemporary Art has a fabulous show opening this Saturday entitled “Route 66″…I can’t wait to see it.

POW Skidmore RoberttownsendThe group exhibition, “Route 66” pays homage to the most celebrated highway in America. Most of us can positively say we have traveled on some part of it at some time in our lives….I know I have…many times while driving back and forth from LA to NYC.

“Route 66,” officially titled the Will Rogers Highway has affectionately been called the Main Street of America or the Mother Road and has inspired many artistic ventures. A character in its own right, It has been featured in many films and TV shows.
