Forest Lawn Museum Director James Fishburne’s inaugural exhibition as museum director marks the Grand Reopening of the newly remodeled Forest Lawn Museum. The opening took place on October 10, 2019. 

If you have not yet viewed this exhibition, be sure to go soon. It runs through March 8, 2020. “The Elevated Eye” features aerial photography offering a very different perspective. The artists featured are all incredibly talented.

Science and technology meet art and beauty in this exhibition, which traces the history of aerial photography. The exhibition brings together nearly 150 images along with video, satellite models, and drones from preeminent collections.

It includes photographs from Forest Lawn Museum’s permanent collection that have never been displayed publicly as well as images from NASA and works by contemporary artists Lane Barden, David Maisel, Chen Ming, Jenny Odell, and Erwan Rivault.
