Halloween in LA is always amazing. Home to movie special effects people, make-up artists, wardrobe supervisors, etc., these creative people have access to professional tools to create out-of-this world costumes. Many party-lovers will start early, and then of course continue on the actual day. Some events even extend the party the following weekend of November. You may enjoy the Venice Afterburn (November 1-3), and the Day of the Dead celebration, which runs untill November 3, 2019 (see bottom of this post for more info on these events).

October 26 – Never 3, 2019:
Grand Park and Self-Help Graphics & Art hosts its own Day of the Dead celebration—for a nine-day display of altars erected within the park alongside large-scale art installations curated by LORE Media and Arts. The altar displays kick off on October 26 with a traditional Noche de Ofrenda ceremony to pray for and honor the dead, featuring a communal circle and blessing led by the indigenous community.
