The production pairs Balanchine’s iconic choreography and Tchaikovsky’s timeless score with whimsical sets and costumes designed by award-winning Cuban American artists Isabel and Ruben Toledo. The performances are presented with an impressive scale of more than 100 dancers and cast members, along with live orchestra, fully bringing to life the magic and spectacle that have delighted audiences for generations. Performances will include local student dancers from two L.A.-based arts academies – the Colburn School and The Gabriella Foundation’s everybody dance! program.
