Mar Vista ArtWalk teams up with MV Chamber of Commerce & Small Business Saturday
celebrating Mar Vista local businesses, music, and art for an all-day holiday affair on Saturday, Nov. 25th, 2017 (Thanksgiving Weekend), with the theme of Gratitude. I love the Mar Vista ArtWalk….its a grass roots event where much of the neighborhood particpates…They have partnered up with local business to have the first ever day-long art, music and shopping event.
Mar Vista ArtWalk (MVAW) has brought the most diverse and artistic Los Angeles neighborhood together, celebrating community through local art and music and local businesses/restaurants, once a quarter for the past 2 years. Now, in partnership with Mar Vista Chamber’s Make It Mar Vista and sponsored by American Express Small Business Saturday, through the theme of Gratitude, MVAW will ignite the 1 mile downtown core on Venice Blvd (Inglewood to Beethoven) from 11am till 10pm on Thanksgiving Weekend Saturday.
Driving this celebration so far is our music and performance stage set at the Coffee Connection parking lot, starting 11 a.m. with family-friendly fare. After 4pm, there will be DJs and poetry slams scheduled between popular local bands Randy’s Candy, Shere Disraeli, Seablood, Fox Trails, Sonic Acrylic, and Westerner. Rising Sons Independent will be back with their block party take over. Full Circle Pottery’s annual holiday bazaar, Alana’s Coffee, and Mar Vista Art Department also have something special in store for visitors. Come for community in Happy Hour from 4-7 p.m. and dine out at local restaurants, like Canela Cocina Latina, Little Fatty’s, Grand View Market, or The Mar Vista.
