Los Angeles Magazine presents Angels of Comedy, an unforgettable night of laughter and giving back. The event takes place at Engine Co. No. 28 — one of the city’s oldest firehouses — this comedy benefit will raise vital funds to support victims of the devastating Los Angeles wildfires. All proceeds will directly benefit the Pasadena Community Foundation. Enjoy LA’s funniest comedians, as well as delicious Firehouse Chili (both Beef and Vegan), Cornbread, Cocktails, Beer, and Wine. In addition Los Angeles First Responders with inspiring stories, host Sharon Fredrickson will keep the evening hopping. The event features a great line-up of stand-up comics including Aida Rodriguez, Ashley Burgess, Carla Collins, Erik Rivera, Kim McVicar, Kwame Siegel, Renee Percy, Sandy Stec, Maxi Witrak, and Peter S. Also in the Melrose Hill/Larchmont areaDavid Zwirner debuts Spirit Level, a solo exhibition of work by Tau Lewis (b. 1993). Employing various sculptural techniques, Lewis creates colorful and totemic forms that suggest mythical territories beyond our own. This presentation will focus on five monumental sculptures in addition to a circular quilt. All were created from salvaged textiles and also other found materials, that were first realized for Lewis’s 2024–2025 solo exhibition at the Institute of Contemporary Art, Boston, curated by Jeffrey De Blois. The Geffen Playhouse

In Westwood…The Geffen Playhouse, and  Steppenwolf Theatre Company present NOISES OFF at the Gil Cates Theater. This hysterical British farce written by Michael Frayn is directed by Anna D. Shapiro.
