In West HollywoodPerpetual Rolling Knots; A Performance by Madeline Hollander takes place at Jeffrey Deitch. Enjoy the activation of Bob, & Charlie, and two large aluminum trefoil knots by the artist and choreographer Madeline Hollander. This performance piece is presented in conjunction with The Abstract Future. Bob & Charlie as well as dancers, Katie Gaydos & Nayomi Van Brunt, who will perform movement sequences. These will be guided by the choreographies inherently embedded within these sculptures’ own code. Each entwined mobius-like form is composed using a formula. Glendale

The Pit presents new exhibitions – Llyn Foulkes: Time’s Witness, Tomorrow’s Not What It Used to Be by Anthony Miler, and Pepe Mar: Doppelganger. The solo exhibition by Llyn Foulkes traces the artist’s oeuvre of seven decades. In addition to featuring work created from 1949 to 2025, the solo show will debut five new artworks. These were completed in the past year. The artist continues to utilize several mediums such as painting, assemblage, drawing, as well as sculpture. His art offers a visceral directness that feels at once handmade and hardwired to the cultural unconscious.

Tomorrow’s Not What It Used to Be by Anthony Miler includes paintings on canvas as well as a new series of unique aluminum sculptures. This is the artist’s second exhibition with the gallery. François Ghebaly presents Homecoming, the newest exhibition by Matt Bollinger. This is the Ithaca-based artist’s first time showing at the Downtown Los Angeles gallery. The artist is a painter, draftsman, animator, and elegist utilizing both visual and narrative language.

David Zwirner presents an exhibition of new and recent work by Marcel Dzama. In this exhibition, the artist works are fantastical visions of a lush and at-times flooded world where anthropomorphized animals and dancing figures are set against dense junglescapes and expansive skies. Among the new works are several large-format drawings, some of which are filled to the brim with animal life. Thus these works also serve as a reminder of the toll being taken on the planet and its effects on all life-forms. Beverly Hills

Gagosian hosts an opening art party for The Domes by Y.Z. Kami. The solo exhibition of paintings brings together two bodies of work. These include a survey of Dome paintings made from 2011 to the present, and also a group of new Messenger paintings.

Furthermore, this is a  meaningful return to the West Coast for Kami, as he spent his early years in Northern California after moving to the United States from Tehran in 1973. Westwood

As of June 26, 2025 the world premiere of The Reservoir officially opened at the Gil Cates Theater at the Geffen Playhouse. Written by Jake Brasch (Trip Around the Sun, How to Draw a Triangle) and directed by Shelley Butler (A Doll’s House, Part 2; The Scarlet Letter), the show runs through July 20, 2025.
