Beverly Hills
Marc Selwyn Fine Art hosts an opening art party as well as a book launch for artist Rodolfo Abularach at the Camden Annex. The exhibition is titled Rodolfo Abularach: A Cosmic Vision. In addition the event will celebrate the publication release. This is the first major monograph dedicated to the artist. It includes essays by art historian and curator Gavin Delahunty, artist and curator Gabriel Rodríguez Pellecer, and curator Rudy F. Weissenberg. This exhibition is a bicoastal collaboration with David Nolan Gallery, New York, where a simultaneous presentation of Abularach’s work is on view through July 31. Also in Beverly Hills …The 20th Los Angeles Jewish Film Festival kicks off tonight with an opening night gala. The big event will be held at the Saban Theatre in Beverly Hills. Midas Man the new film about Beatles manager, Brian Epstein will open the festival. Written by Brigit Grant, directed by Joe Stephenson, it is an exceptional film. In place of a red carpet, the opening event has an “Abbey Road” arrivals area and will include celebrities, VIP’s, reception, Q&A, and performance. Following the film there will be a Q&A featuring filmmakers Brigit Grant (film’s writer), Joe Stephenson (film’s director), Jonah Lees (Lennon) with Beatles historian, expert, Martin Lewis. Jeffrey Deitch Gallery hosts Loneliness Triptych, a performance by VOLTA. The gallery has invited Mamie Green and her dance company VOLTA to activate its current exhibition, The Abstract Future.
The 30-minute piece transforms everyday objects—an inflatable mattress, a rug, a rolling office chair—into symbols of longing, alienation, and connection.The production features a collaborative team including director/choreographer Mamie Green, writers Stephanie Wambugu, Lily Lady, and Sammy Loren, performed by Bella Allen, Cacia LaCount, Anne Kim, Ryan Ruiz, and Ryley Polak, with an original score by Patrick Shiroishi. Lisson Gallery debuts The Signs are Present by Li Ran. The first solo exhibition in Los Angeles by the artist will include nine, recent, oil-on-canvas paintings. The works this exhibit are also some of the largest canvases to date.

In Westwood…As of yesterday, June 26, 2025 the world premiere of The Reservoir officially opened at the Gil Cates Theater at the Geffen Playhouse. That was only open to subscribers, however, the general public can attend tonight. Written by Jake Brasch (Trip Around the Sun, How to Draw a Triangle) and directed by Shelley Butler (A Doll’s House, Part 2; The Scarlet Letter), the show runs through July 20, 2025.
