In West Hollywood…7811 Gallery celebrates the art of Mikio Nobumoto Metoyer (also known as Kio). For his inaugural exhibition, I See Everyone, I Feel Everything, Kio brings us fifteen emotionally charged medium as well as large scale works. A native Angeleno of Japanese, Hawaiian and Creole background, Kio employs rich colors to convey feelings of yearning, belonging and attachment. He uses colors to convey emotional attachment. Thus utilizing vivid pigments melded with refined lines taken from photographs of people, places and animals, the artist creates a sense of harmony.

Kio’s creative journey led him to participate in the Converse Young Creative Program. This exhibit culminates a year of networking events. Juneteenth Celebration
Manhattan Beach hosts a Juneteenth Celebration and Concert. The actual holiday took place this past Thursday with the city of Manhattan Beach hosting a ceremony. In Westwood…As of Wednesday, June 18, 2025 the world premiere of The Reservoir previewed at the Gil Cates Theater at the Geffen Playhouse. Written by Jake Brasch (Trip Around the Sun, How to Draw a Triangle) and directed by Shelley Butler (A Doll’s House, Part 2; The Scarlet Letter), the show will officially open on Thursday, June 26, 2025.
