In Santa Monica…At Bergamot Station…Von Lintel Gallery hosts an all day opening to welcome artists Floris Neusüss and Christiane Feser from 12-5pm; The practices of the two artists pushes photography into sculptural and materially inventive territory. Bringing together Neusüss’s pioneering photograms and Feser’s intricate photo-objects, the exhibition foregrounds singular works that challenge the limits of the photographic image. Also Downtown…ICA LA hosts Memory and Making: A Community Gathering. The current exhibition Raven Sanchez: Así Sea / So Be It is the impetus for the workshop. Additionally, the afternoon will feature fun art-making and playful community. Attendees will create rubbings as well as assemblage with materials provided by Sanchez. Hence, participants should bring mementos of their own family get-togethers to incorporate. The program will also feature music, classic cars, and delicacies available for sale by local vendors. Roberts Projects presents a Book Launch & Signing for Let’s Get It On: The Wearable Art of Betye Saar.
The book spotlights the artist’s early work in costume and jewelry design. Moreover, it highlights Saar’s designs from the 1960s and 1970s. ReCoding the Codex: Cultural Heritage through Language opens at ReflectSpace. The gallery is situated inside the Glendale Central Library. The group show investigates the complex connections between language, social justice, and cultural heritage. Historically, a codex is a book. Therefore, the artists use it as a starting point to reimagine how people see, interpret, and understand language. Thus it is fitting for it to be held at the Glendale Library, a home for books and language.

Grangeville has extended its run to August 2, 2026, and therefore continues at the Ruskin Group Theatre. Written by Samuel D. Hunter and directed by John Perrin Flynn, Tim Cummings and Jeff LeBeau step into the lead characters in Grangeville. They play estranged half-brothers who are forced to reconnect due to their aging mother. While one lives in Grangeville, the other lives in Amsterdam, Grangeville deals with love, suffering, and the not so easy road to forgiveness.
