Craft in America Center hosts an online cowboy art talk. The conversation takes place in conjunction with the current exhibition – Cowboy Craft: Traditional Art of the West. The conversation is between Bit and spur makers Wilson Capron and Carol Gessell as well as saddlemakers Ernie Marsh, and John Willemsma. They will discuss the historical functions and current day interpretations of these cowboy crafts. The best summer venue ever, the Hollywood Bowl presents Gladys Knight and Smokey Robinson. This is a fantastic pairing since both have been in the music business for seven decades.
While Knight is best known for hits “I Heard It Through the Grapevine” and “Midnight Train to Georgia,” Robinson was lead singer for the Miracles. He wrote numerous hits as a songwriter. Santa Monica
This was supposed to be the final weekend for Grangeville at the Ruskin Group Theatre, however it has been extended. Written by Samuel D. Hunter and directed by John Perrin Flynn, Tim Cummings and Jeff LeBeau step into the lead characters in Grangeville. They play estranged half-brothers who are forced to reconnect due to their aging mother. While one lives in Grangeville, the other lives in Amsterdam. Grangeville deals with love, suffering, and the not so easy road to forgiveness.
