In the Miracle Mile area…

FRi-Oct21-2016-Comedy-LoftatLizJoin The Loft at Liz’s for an evening of comedy. Hosted in conjunction with our exhibit GUNS, the show will aim to engage the audience in thought-provoking works from some of the world’s most renowned artists with commentary and comic relief from talented guest performers: Dulce Sloan (CONAN, Comedy Knockout), Jeff Zenisek, John Michael Bond, Ricky Carmona, plus more.

ART SANDWICH CONFIDENTIAL is hosted by Ramon Rivas II, comedian & eminent Latino from Cleveland OH. He can be seen being charmingly high on VICE, MTV, and Comedy Central (@midnight, The Half Hour). He’ll make some delightful sandwiches for everyone to share as they enjoy an evening of artisinally curated comedy. The first edition of this show will feature artists from around the country performing jokes and then sharing an anecdote or story relating to the current installation at the Loft at Liz’s about gun control and gun violence issues. Some have been at gunpoint with a criminal on one end, others a family member, others a police officer. One is a conceal carry holder. By the end of the evening, audience members will have experienced comedy and community and leave with a hopefully enlightening and informative experience.

The event is BYOB. Admission is a suggested donation of $10, and feel free to bring a dish or dessert to add to this potluck style affair.
