The Erin Hanson Gallery hosts a celebration in honor of its latest exhibition and to mark the collections reveal with wine tasting, live music and of course the first public viewing of Hanson’s foray into an unannounced medium, the collection has been dubbed “The Museum Collection”.

Having strictly worked with oils and canvas for the past 8 years this collection marks a shift away from the “traditional” (if you can call her massive and texturized landscapes traditional). “The Museum Collection” is an enriched offshoot of her eclectic style and shakes the very foundation of the modern landscape.

A variety of fine reserve wines have been provided by Paso Robles’ Peachy Canyon Winery with a selection of fine cheeses. Live musical guest will be the popular singer songwriter Marina V.

There’s a brand new gallery in town…Glike Gallery host it’s inaugural event “Woodpeckers.”

The group exhibition brings three artists together from three different cities which all work with wood. Artists include: Michael Ferris Jr., Matt Rosenquist and Gadi ZamirEach of these artists have incorporated and experimented with wood as a predominant element in their work. Wood is not an unusual medium for artists to choose due to it’s abundance, inherent beauty and manipulative qualities that it offers. Confidently, these three artists work to find the figurative resemblance manifest either by chipping away, adding inlay, or using the grain of the wood to suggest the human figure.
