Then in Venice…Trunk Gallery presents Rachelle Dowdy: “Up North”, featuring animal-human hybrid sculptural works. This is Rachelle Dowdy’s first California exhibition.
Dowdy’s Trophy Mount series consists of sculptural works depicting animal-human hybrids utilizing organic materials such as wood and fibers, with concrete, industrial resins and recycled materials.

In Downtown LA….SCI-Arc Library (Southern California Institute of Architecture) holds an exhibition discussion with Marcelo Spina, Elena Manferdini, Ramiro Diaz-Granados, Tom Wiscombe and SCI-Arc Director Eric Owen Moss.
This SCI-Arc Library exhibition documents the four faculty entries in the Graduation Pavilion Competition organized this past summer to select a winning design for the ArtPlace-funded outdoor pavilion, scheduled to be completed in spring 2013.
