haleARTS S P A C E hosts an opening reception for a group show featuring the work of Sheri Sinclair, Janet Bothne, Cassandra Tondro and Marc Hemeon. Wine and popcorn will be served.
Sheri Sinclair draws inspiration from ancient life forms, plants and the microscopic world. With a master’s degree in Geology, Sheri creates wall-mounted ceramics referencing organic matter.
Janet Bothne’s mixed media canvases spill over with color, rhythm and movement. Her work is inspired by music and the limitless possibilities that pigment presents.
Cass
andra Tondro creates stunning abstract paintings from repurposed acrylic latex paint that she rescues from recycling centers in the Los Angeles area before it is sent to landfills.
Marc Hemeon’s series ”Be Happy Tree” features tree stumps, void of foliage with the words “be happy’ scrawled in paint. Marc reminds us that happiness does not stem from the acquisition of material possessions.
