Alas First Fridays on Abbot Kinney seems to be winding down, I was contacted by several stores telling me they will not be participating and some do Not want promotion….Ah yes, all good things must come to an end….there are some continuing…but LA Art Party’s coverage will grow slim as we are in search of the best parties in LA…so Mama’s gotta move on.

NASA’s Dawn spacecraft, which reached orbit around the large main belt asteroid Vesta last year is wrapping up and preparing to depart Vesta in late July for the next destination: the largest object in the asteroid belt, dwarf planet Ceres. View images and discuss the asteroid belt and why learning as much as possible about it may be a key to our long-term survival on Earth!
Advance ticket purchase strongly recommended. Order by phone or in person at the SMC Theatre Arts Box Office (Theatre Arts Complex, SMC Main Campus). Admission to a single show or lecture is $6 ($5 seniors age 60+ and children age 12 and under). For the double-bill price of $11 ($9 seniors and children), you can enjoy both the Night Sky Show and the evening’s scheduled Feature Show or Guest Lecture.
