The LAP
D West Bureau will be hosting their “Summer Carnival at the Beach” from July 13th- 15th at Pacific and Windward.
The carnival will block off the Windward Circle and feature rides, games and food. It is open to all and free!
I went by while they were setting up….they have some pretty big rides…I thought it was gonna be a kiddie carnival….It is going to bring a completely differnet crowd than the Biennial…let’s see how this works!

The Greater Los Angeles Zoo Association (GLAZA) presents a rare opportunity for after-hours visits on two evenings of “MUSIC IN THE ZOO” under the stars.
Performances take place throughout the Los Angeles Zoo and Botanical Gardens while guests view more than a few animals staying up past their bedtimes. Picnics are permitted, and a tempting array of food and beverages offerings are available.

s show includes music from Cubensis (Grateful Dead cover band), Long Beach Caravan Trio (jazz), Masanga Marimba (Zimbabwean marimabas), Caravana (Latin reggae), Patrolled by Radar (alt-country), Wayward Sons (arena rock cover band), David Vito Gregoli and Primordial Sonics (ambient aboriginal fusion), and The Heist (classic rock cover band).

Coagula Curatorial is excited to present “the whole damn oeuvre” “Gordy Grundy BURN: A Retrospective.” The Los Angeles based visual artist and popular art writer will exhibit the sum of all his visual efforts.
