La Luz de Jesus celebrates two new exhibitions.

Brad Parker’s Kona Kitsch explores “souvenir art” and “Hawaiiana,” and features mediums such as acrylic on canvas, Tapa-Cloth, and painted Japanese/Hawaiian Newspapers, featuring Hawaiian mythology and including souvenirs designed for the tourist market and Brad’s recent collaborations with Chef Sam Choy. The opening reception will feature a performance by teen ukelele sensation Aidan James.

The Poster Pop Collection is a presentation of some of the most important, provenanced imagery from the history of Lowbrow. Seminal works by Kozik, Pizz, Aaron Marshall, Marco Almera, Alan Forbes, and Shag are being made available for sale for the first time. These are some of the most iconic images from Rock, Surf, and Kustom Kulture and they are quite astoundingly affordable.
