1.27.12LucindaWilliamsatRoyceHallSome may not know who Lucinda Williams is…and I say…Where have you been? Lucinda is an incredible songwriter, guitarist and performer who I have seen many times live.

Her style is folky rock Americana. I highly recommend her. She did get some success back in the 80’s but has managed to fly under the radar (I will never understand why) ever since.

For a mere $20.00 you can see this woman strut her stuff….and she is amazing. She has also penned many incredible songs made famous by other singers…such as Mary Chapin Carpenter who had a big hit back in the day with Lucinda’s Passionate Kisses.” Great song. Lucinda Williams was rercognized by her peers and did win her first grammy for it.

The show starts a 8:00 pm, Lucinda will play till 10:00 pm at Royce Hall (UCLA), located at 340 Rocy Drive, LA. CA 90095. There parking on site…so car pool to save some bucks. Also, another great option, is the # 1 Blue bus goes right there from Venice/Santa Monica; http://www.uclalive.org/
